Business Debtline
Business
Debtline (BDL) is a charity and part of the Money Advice Trust (MAT)
formed in 1991 to increase the quality and availability of free,
independent money advice in the United Kingdom.
BDL's
trained team of specialist advisers can help with your queries and
they work in partnership with government, the private sector, and
the United Kingdom's leading money advice agencies to:
- increase
the availability of money advice;
- improve
its quality;
- improve
the efficiency and effectiveness of how advice is provided.
MAT
is recognised by the government and private sector as a leading
organisation providing free, independent money advice. There are
five aspects to MAT’s work:
- providing
advice via National Debtline and Business Debtline
- ensuring
high quality money advice through training and support for advisers;
- research
and policy;
- fundraising;
- being
a catalyst for improving efficiency and effectiveness within the
debt advice sector.
All
BDL advisers receive an intensive induction and training programme
when they join the service.
