ACT
Venture Capital is Ireland's leading independent venture capital
company and they have a very experienced and successful investment
team.
ACT Venture Capital provide capital to growth-oriented private companies
in the range of €750K to €15M. Larger sums can be provided
in syndication with their institutional investors.
Founded
as an independent operation in 1994, ACT has completed over 50 investments
principally in technology based companies serving global markets.
Their portfolio consists of a significant number of technology investments
across software, communications and internet technology as well
as the more traditional development capital and buyout investments.
A number of technology investments have been made outside Ireland
ACT
has a strong executive staff that can apply a diverse range of international,
industrial, technology and financial experience to achieving success
for the companies they back.
In December 2002, ACT closed its third fund at €170 million.
ACT now manages c. € 350 million through a number of venture
capital funds.
