About
The Britannia Rescue Company
Britannia
Rescue is wholly owned by csma (Civil Service Motoring Association),
Britain's largest privately owned Motoring Club. csma was founded
in 1923 exclusively for civil servants and in 1983, several senior
members decided to organise their own car breakdown service for
club members and name it Britannia Rescue.
In 1984, Britannia Rescue opened their services to everyone. Since
then, they have grown year on year and their membership now extends
to nearly 400,000 vehicles, covering individuals and members of
Affinity groups.
In
2002 Britannia Rescue extended their service to enable them to offer
the customer facing elements of their service to larger organisations
including insurance companies. This unique service is based on Britannia
Rescue providing 24hr call centre support and handling requests
for roadside assistance through their agent network. This includes
dedicated phone lines, management of costs and agent invoice processing.
Their
service is excellent. Britannia Rescue cover the whole of the UK
and Republic of Ireland, using around 430 selected and inspected
agent locations, with over 3000 mechanics to assist their members.
In fact, their members give their service an overall satisfaction
rate of 98% and an average response time of just 37 minutes.
