About
The Besso Company
Besso is an old Italian family name, steeped in centuries of insurance
tradition. The Besso company was originally founded on broking Italian
non-marine treaty reinsurance.
Besso Expertise
After a period as a subsidiary of one of the major international
broking organisations, Besso was re-established in London as an
independent company in 1995.
Besso
are now a fully independent broking house, the Company is based
in London with headquarters in the Crescent, between the Minories
and Tower Hill.
Following the arrival of specialist teams in the last two years
steady growth in their traditional areas, Besso limited now has
a staff of over 200 people. The acquisition of CBC UK Limited by
their parent company, Besso Holdings, compliments their existing
business and provides the Group with global capabilities in most
classes of Insurance.
Besso have recently expanded into Worldwide Reinsurance (Besso Re),
and Captive Management and related products (Risk Solutions).
The
reliance placed on face-to-face negotiations for this type of business
meant that individual broking skills have a vital role to play.
Besso has a long-standing policy of attracting the leading specialists
across the full range of markets in which they transact business.
Besso
