Close
Brothers was founded in the city of London in 1878 and is the largest
independent quoted Merchant Bank in the UK.
In
1999 Close Brothers decided to buy a financial services business
dedicated wholly to the military to complement one of their existing
motor finance businesses which also specialised in the military
market.
The
financial services business they purchased was originally called
NAAFI Financial Services. In fact, the NAAFI still shares significantly
in the profit of its current incarnation as Close Brothers Military
Services Group, and they retain a 20% ownership.
The
business has expanded since 1999 and is still proud to be dedicated
to providing services for the military.
