The
EUbusiness web site is Europe's leading independent online business
information service about the European Union.
Founded in Luxembourg in 1997 by Managing Director Nick Prag, the
site is managed and owned by EUbusiness Ltd in the United Kingdom.
Its team of journalists provide daily-updated news and information
about EU policy, legislation, economic data and opportunities to
a fast-growing membership of over 60,000, of which 43,000 receive
the weekly newsletter EUbusiness Week.
In
July 2003 EUbusiness entered into partnership with ICP Europe Publishing
plc , an online business and professional publishing company, specialising
in interaction management. ICP works as an outsourced supplier,
under clients' brands, to build and manage online services for organisations
that serve the small business and enterprise markets.
On
the EUbusiness Board are Ian Jindal, Chief Executive Officer of
ICP and former Head of BBC Online Operations, where he established
the team that built over 400 BBC websites generating a billion hits
each month; Derek Prag, Honorary Member of the European Parliament,
MEP for Hertfordshire from 1979 to 1994, and former Head of the
European Commission's London office; and Michael Ter-Berg, Chief
Executive of Medic2Medic, and until recently Director of Development
at DMG Information, part of the Daily Mail Group, investors in,
& managers of, high growth international companies.
The
EUbusiness team includes Chief Technology Officer Doug Winter, formerly
of BBC Online, where he was responsible for the development, delivery
and management of the technical aspects of the BBC's public service
offering; and Marketing Director Emma Kettle. Formerly Marketing
Manager of Loftus Road PLC incorporating QPR FC and London Wasps
RFC, Emma gained her expertise during her tenure at Coca-Cola's
marketing machine, working out of London and Atlanta.
With a fast-growing current average of 1,200,000 page views per
month, the aim is to become the premier business information source
about the European Union.
