The First Report Company
Operations
Formed in 1988, First Report now provides access to one of the UK's
largest credit status information services. Their main offices are
based in the heart of the City of London just off Ludgate Hill,
and their Regional Office operates from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire,
from where their customer support team assists over 5,000 clients
ranging from small businesses to blue chip and household name companies.
Approach
The growth of First Report has been consistent and sustained, and
is based on innovation and sound management rather than acquisition.
They are always thinking of new and constructive ways to improve
their service, and in this sense they often leave other less agile
organisations lagging behind. First Report also draw on talented
people from other businesses with whom they work closely.
When
First Report first entered the credit information market they found
that credit reference data was unnecessarily complicated, and that
large subscriptions were demanded in return for discounted prices.
They have focused on providing credit reference information that
is clear and accessible, and does not require high spend entry levels.
First
Report also believe in flexibility and transparency. Clients may
purchase single reports on an ad-hoc basis, or open a pre-pay account
to obtain credit reports at discounted prices.
In
many respects First Report are happy to let their customers do the
talking for them.

First Report believes in business support for community and social
development and is the main corporate sponsor and donor for the
London Equal Opportunities Federation. The LEOF works tirelessly
to remove social barriers and assist people from all backgrounds
