Impax
Group plc ("Impax") is a financial advisory and asset
management Company quoted on the Alternative Investment Market of
the London Stock Exchange. The focus of the Group is the provision
of financial services within the environmental infrastructure and
technology ("EIT") sector, particularly alternative energy,
waste management and water treatment.
The Impax Group was formed in May 2001 when Kern River plc acquired
Impax Capital Corporation Limited.
Impax
has three subsidiaries: asset management; corporate finance advisory;
and oil & gas.
Impax
Asset Management Limited
Impax Asset Management Limited ("IAM") provides fund management
and advisory services to investors and is regulated by the Financial
Services Authority as an investment manager. IAM has particular
expertise in managing portfolios of listed stocks & private
equity in the EIT sector and is the originator of the ET50, an index
comprising 50 of the largest "pure play" environmental
technology companies from 14 countries. IAM is the manager of Impax
Environmental Markets plc ("IEM"), an investment trust
that invests in companies that are commercialising or using environmental
technology, and is also the manager of The Recycling Fund, a venture
capital fund focused on the UK recycling sector. IAM is also adviser
to three funds with over £33 million invested in the EIT sector;
one of these is the US$25 million PVMTI fund, a private equity facility
funded by the International Finance Corporation targeted at the
solar industry.

Capital Corporation Limited
Impax Capital Corporation Limited ("ICC") is a corporate
finance advisory house providing M&A, valuation and project
finance advisory services to small, medium and large sized companies
across the EIT sector. ICC also undertakes consultancy assignments
for government agencies and corporates. ICC has a proven track record
of deal closure and significant experience both in valuing EIT companies
and in assisting larger corporates to enter the sector. ICC has
raised equity, senior and junior debt for a number of renewable
energy projects including Europe's largest straw-to-energy plant;
Europe's largest poultry litter-to-energy plant and the UK's first
fully integrated waste management facility. The Company is regulated
by the Financial Services Authority as a corporate finance adviser.
Oil
& Gas
The group is pleased to announce on 02 June 2003 the completion
of the sale of its interest in the Starks oil and gas field to Temsik
Investments Ltd.
The
group retains over a 90% working interest in the Nukern Lease which
is located in the Kern River Field, Bakersfield, California and
is exploring its disposal.

IAM& ICC have between them a dedicated and versatile team of
professionals and support staff based in London offering access
to an unique domestic UK and international network of project sponsors,
finance providers, government agencies, as well as private and institutional
investors in the expanding EIT market.
Geography
& Network:
IAM operates throughout Western and Eastern Europe, with affiliate
offices in India, Kenya and Morocco. ICC operates throughout Western
and Eastern Europe with special focus on the UK.
Impax
manages/advises over £60m of investment funds and has structured,
advised on and arranged over US$300 million of debt and equity for
projects and companies in the environmental infrastructure and technology
sector.
