The Kiln Company
Kiln is an international insurance and reinsurance underwriting
group that specialises in complex, unusual risk. Kiln plc is listed
on the London Stock Exchange. Its operating subsidiary, R J Kiln
& Co Limited has £680 million of capacity under management
for the 2004 year of account, making it one of the largest agencies
trading in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market.
Kiln
is a recognised leader in each of the five main business areas in
which it operates: reinsurance, accident and health, aviation, marine
and special risks, and property. In these and other fields, they
help their customers to manage their risk, and provide them with
financial protection in the event of disasters and catastrophes.

using a combination of flair and sound judgement. From quotation
to claim, and from new business to renewal, they maintain high standards
of service and operate in a way that encourages customers and brokers

As
a Lloyd’s agency, Kiln enjoys a security rating of ‘A’
(Strong) assigned to Lloyd’s by Standard and Poor's; its Combined
Syndicate 510 has an ‘A’ (Excellent) rating in its own
right from A M Best and the Catastrophe Syndicate 557 is one of
only a few syndicates in Lloyd’s that enjoy the highest rating
(4pi) for a Lloyd’s Syndicate Assessment (LSA) awarded by Standard
& Poor's. Moody’s, in its latest Syndicate Performance
Rating, ranked Syndicate 557 the highest rated syndicate out of
a total of 71 syndicates rated in Lloyd’s with a rating of
A, very good.
