About
The Liverpool Victoria Company
Liverpool Victoria are the United Kingdom's largest friendly society.
It is their aim to help their customers find freedom from financial
worry, by providing a wide range of reliable and good value financial
products – from banking to insurance and investments.
Today, their values continue to underpin everything LV do. As a
mutual society, where one member has one vote, they are not answerable
to shareholders. They channel all their energies and resources into
doing what's right for their customers.
From
Liverpool Victoria to LV=
Liverpool Victoria was founded in 1843 with the purpose of enabling
people with limited means to bury their loved ones with dignity.
So they have a noble beginning and a heritage of which they are
very proud of.
Today,
this heritage and history still shape the way LV behave as an organisation
and they continue to be a key player in today’s financial
services market. After listening to their members, customers and
staff they decided that their brand name needed to evolve to make
it more relevant for society today and for the future. The Liverpool
Victoria new brand name draws on their heritage and their new look
aims to present them in a more modern and vibrant way to their existing
and potential members and customers.
The letters L and V have evolved from their heritage as Liverpool
Victoria. The equals sign is a contemporary expression of their
mutuality. As a "Society of Equals" they are wholly owned
by their members and they have a "one member one vote"
approach, unlike plcs with their institutional shareholders.
