The Options Insurance Services Company
The
Options Policy was created in 1993 by a group of insurance professionals
working for Options Insurance Services Limited, the United Kingdom
subsidiary of the Inter Group of Scandinavia.
The
idea for Options Travel Insurance was borne out of a desire to provide
a better value, more comprehensive and better serviced travel insurance
than that which was available from the majority of travel agents
and tour operators at the time.
The Options product was launched as one of the very first directly
sold travel insurances and quickly gained a strong reputation with
its customers, the press and leading consumer organisations for
incredible value for money and excellent service.
In
1996 the strength of Options was such that the directors of the
UK Company raised capital to buy the UK operation from the Inter
Group of Scandinavia. Inter Group Insurance Services Limited was
borne.
The
Group now comprises specialist claims handling and 24-hour assistance
companies and provides a vital service for over 1,000,000 travellers
every year from the customers of major airlines and tour operators
to those of a number of financial institutions.
Through
the closest links with Insurers, the Group has created other leading,
competitive insurances from the Options Home Insurance to MediCover
Travel Insurance, a highly specialised policy recognising the needs
of travellers with serious pre-existing medical conditions.
Options
Insurance Services Limited was the first insurance intermediary
to be admitted as a member of the Insurance Ombudsman Bureau, providing
further evidence of the desire to provide fair and ethical services
and to put the customer first.
Throughout
the growth of the company from the earliest beginnings to the present
day there has been one uncompromising service standard. This has
ensured that Options Insurance Services Limited and all of its sister
companies continue to provide unparalleled service to the client
