Rescue
France Direct is underwritten by MMA Insurance plc (established
1958), a member company of the General Insurance Standards Council
(GISC) and the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), with associate
companies in Europe and Hong Kong.
Rescue France Direct is also part of the MMA Group, which is one
of Europe's oldest insurance groups, having been founded more than
170 years ago. In 2001 the world-wide group premium income was more
than £2.19 billion and gross assets were £13.9 billion.
The
emergency medical and vehicle breakdown assistance is provided by
First Assist, part of the respected Royal & Sun Alliance group.
