Reliance Bank Review

Reliance Bank Company Information

About The Reliance Bank Company

Established in 1890, when it was known as The Salvation Army Bank, Reliance Bank Limited is built upon caring foundations - that remain as strong as ever. The Salvation Army's founder, William Booth, was a man renowned for getting things done. When he needed to attract investments to finance mortgages on property vital to the work of the movement, his response was to set up the Army's own bank.

Today, The Salvation Army retains ownership of the Bank through its controlling shareholders: The Salvation Army Trustee Company and The Salvation Army International Trustee Company. Each year, Reliance Bank donates all its allowable profits to The Salvation Army.

A Future Built on Faith
In 1900, the name was changed to Reliance Bank Limited and retained this status until 1980, when legislation caused it to become a Trust Company. Its status and present title were restored in 1988 as an authorised bank under the Banking Act 1987.

A thriving business, Reliance Bank Limited is growing. It is not only The Salvation Army which relies on the bank, but it is also trusted by many private customers, as well as other churches, charities, and businesses.

Reliance Bank is small but is BIG on customer care. It has the advantage of being able to provide customers with individual attention and service based on it's personal knowledge of them.

Reliance Bank also means secure banking. Unlike some larger banks, Reliance Bank has not incurred trading losses and prides itself on a strong balance sheet; benefiting the Bank and its customers.

Faith, Hope - and Charity
Like The Salvation Army, Reliance Bank puts people first. It cares about its customers and their issues that matter to them. That is why Reliance Bank believes in ethical banking - and why its customers put their faith in Reliance Bank...While working hard for its customers, the Bank's investments are made within strict ethical boundaries and its profits are used to further The Salvation Army's evangelical and charitable work.
