Royal
Bank of Scotland International Company Information
About
The Royal Bank of Scotland International Company
The
Royal Bank of Scotland International (RBSI) is one of the world's
largest offshore banks.
Its headquarters are in Jersey in the Channel Islands, where it
was launched in 1996, and it has branches in Guernsey and the Isle
of Man, and an associate office in Gibraltar (The Royal Bank of
Scotland (Gibraltar) Limited).
100
percent offshore
With its own board of directors and management team, RBSI and its
associated companies are concerned solely with the requirements
of the offshore market. It operates in British Crown Dependencies,
where it can offer its clients offshore banking in a context of
political and economic stability.
Jersey,
Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar are each regulated and answerable
to their own statutory authority; but final responsibility for RBSI's
integrity lies with the standards the Bank imposes on itself. As
a major employer with a long-term interest in all the locations
in which it operates, it has invested substantially in buildings
and systems and in the recruitment and training of high quality
staff.
