is Fundamental Data?
Fundamental
Data (FD) is an independent research company which specialises in
on-line real-time data and systems for evaluating the Closed End
Fund (CEF) Industry. FD supply most of the leading investment banks
and fund management houses with data and are the official data suppliers
to the Association of Investment Trust Companies (AITC) and the
Financial Times (FT). From their offices in London, FD research
over 1,500 of the world's CEF's with a staff of 10 data analysts,
4 systems developers, and 6 sales and client support personnel.
Although formally launched in 1998 as an independent company, Fundamental
Data traces its roots back to 1987 when the systems were first developed
by Lewis Aaron, a leading fund analyst, and Peter Derriman, a experienced
systems developer, when the two were working together at a major
investment bank..
Who
are SOLA?
The
Splitsonline Association, or SOLA for short, is an association of
various managers and Boards of Directors of Split Capital Investment
Trusts. SOLA was formed specifically for the purpose of funding
the on-going development and data provision of www.splitsonline.co.uk,
the leading website for on-line split capital information and analytics.
SOLA's objectives are to make the split capital industry more understandable
and transparent to financial advisors and individual investors by
providing a single place where information can be found.
