There
are three different levels of service provided by intermediaries
(mortgage brokers) identified in the Mortgage Code of Practice and
explained for consumers in You and Your Mortgage. These are:
- advice
and recommendation on which of the mortgages they can provide
is best for you;
- information
on the different types of mortgage product on offer so that you
can make an informed choice;
- information
on a single mortgage product only if only one mortgage product
is available or if you have already made up your mind.
