Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Egypt, Slovenia, India and Canada. About
a half of Thomas Cook AG's group earnings is generated in the sales
markets of Great Britain as well as those of Western and Eastern
Europe.

By the
merging of Condor Flugdienst GmbH and NUR Touristic GmbH at the
beginning of 1998, the two shareholders in the company, Deutsche
Lufthansa AG (50%) and KarstadtQuelle AG (50%), laid down the foundations
for an integrated leisure group of European proportions. Its acquisition
of the French travel group Havas Voyages in July 2000 as well as
its take-over of the British travel group Thomas Cook Holdings Ltd.
in April 2001 has made the company Europe's second-largest leisure
group.
