IFAP
has been running for over 14 years and promotes the benefits of
independent financial advice to consumers and businesses. Independent
Financial Advisers (IFAs) are the only type of financial advisers
who are able to select from all the products available in the marketplace
- making sure you get the right product for your individual needs.

Their
aim is to help people confidentially search for details of local
member IFAs by using their 'Find an IFA' searches. In 2003, they
fulfilled over 330,000 such requests for details of local IFAs via
their freephone Hotline and online searches running on www.unbiased.co.uk
and partner sites. They currently have over 10,500 member IFAs available
on their database UK-wide.
In recent years IFAP has continued to develop the search criteria
by which a member IFA can be selected - if required, you can now
choose an IFA based on where you live or work, the product area
you need advice on, how you would prefer to pay for advice, the
gender of an IFA and any incremental qualifications you may wish
your IFA to hold.
IFAP
also provides co-branded versions of its 'Find an IFA' search to
over 40 leading websites including web portals, financial trade
body sites, search engines, financial product providers and newspapers
- including Tiscali, The Independent, Thisismoney (the website for
the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and the Evening Standard), Moneynet
and Handbag.com.

is frequently mentioned in the national press, television, radio
and in online articles and hundreds of websites now link to their
user friendly online 'Find an IFA' search at www.unbiased.co.uk.
